A fairytale kingdom a few minutes from San Babila

You’ve seen this building, it’s hard to miss, and you know well it totally deserves to be named château. The palace of Château Monfort was built in 1903 by Pietro Mezzanotte, the famous architect of Milan’s Stock Exchange Building, and its liberty, aristocratic style agrees perfectly with the inspirations and the vision of this fine relais that wanted to offer its guests the experience of a dream become reality.

The 77 rooms available, of which 5 are Suites and 5 Junior Suites, are designed to set the fantasy of their resident ablaze with their inspirations drawn from the fantasy world and the opera. Three types of rooms, the Superior “Civetta”, the Executive “Hibiscus” and the Deluxe “Viaggiatore”, take something respectively from the fairytales, Oriental flower fantasies and the Belle Époque. All of them are furnished with custom-made wooden pieces. Besides that, booking the last two types of room from the internet will grant you free access to the SPA.

We’re not done with the rooms. Three of the Junior Suites and all the other regular Suites (of which two are open space), along with the Deluxe “Schiaccianoci”, are the most beautiful rooms and are inspired to the music world with evocative names like “Turandot”, “Cenerentola”, “Boheme” or “Butterfly”. All of these rooms are designed with rigorous projects and an impeccable fantasy, both demonstrations of an exquisite taste that permeates every corner of the hotel.

The Monfort experience doesn’t stop at the rooms. The hotel has its own restaurant, the “Rubacuori“, where you can also stop by for lunch, and a lounge bar, the “Mezzanotte“, that completes the liberty fantasy vibe doubling as a cafè chantant, open in the afternoon around tea time, and illuminated by a grand skylight. A wine shop called “La Cella di Bacco” will allow you to enjoy wine tastings in a refined, romantic atmosphere.

For events, meetings and every kind of occasion, instead, the Château offers two halls, the “Sala dell’Incantesimo” and “Le segrete”, where conferences, weddings, banquets, anniversaries and gala dinners can be hosted. The first one is the most lavish and elegant, it is decorated with floral fantasies and travertine floors; while the secon is more similar to a medieval rooms with its skylights and the red-brick ceilings.

Last but not least is “Amore e Psiche”, the majestic SPA of the hotel that includes all the possible tratments you could dream of. Sauna, Turkish bath, calidarium, emotional shower, ice fountains and relax area. Nothing is missing.
