It’s 18:00. You’re at the office in front of your pc and you get a last minute dinner invitiation. You don’t want to show up empty handed? “Just a sandwich for lunch and now you’re blind with hunger?!” Well, a quick aperitif in a flower shop could be just the thing. And passing by Potafiori could be perfect!
Yes. Perfect enough to decline the last minute invitation and stop also for dinner, listen to some music… Play a little music, if you know how to play a piano (in the hall there’s a beautiful vertical Adolf Lehmann) and obviously take some sweet smelling petals home.
Rosalba Picinni, the exuberant owner of Potafiori, is a bundle of energy and extravagance, a river in full who pulls you into her world. Made of flowers, music, design, love for food. She defines herself a “singing florist”. She has two flower shops, one in Bergamo, where she’s from, and one in Milan in the Porta Venezia area. She’s a singer (she has performed at the Blue Note of Milan) with a passion for design in which she has invested considerably in this space. The two partners come from the world of fashion, along with a network created over the years, so I’m sure they will make this place a hot destination for many in no time at all.
Potafiori is in the Bocconi area, a neighborhood rich with restaurants and popular wine bars. Inside this beautiful and magical space the color gray prevails and creates a perfect contrast with the yellows, pinks and greens of the flowers. Minimalist design, Swedish porcelains and Gio Ponti chairs complete the table where, from the morning for breakfast, all the way through lunch and on to dinner, you can eat, talk, nosy around or simply buy flowers. You are welcomed here with a smile and the energy that only music, flowers and food can transmit. Rosalba rulez!
