It looks like a warning: Wait and See, so you wait and see. But you will find out that when entering this store you will not have the time to wait. The eye will begin to move everywhere, eager for beauty and colour. The hands will begin to touch, caress and browse through clothes and cool items, all unique and original. The sense of smell will be involved along with the other senses and you will get caught by an invisible scent, so persuasive that you will want to try it … And maybe buy it, as I did. It’s called “è_senza” (literally: it’s…without, but in Italian is a game of words which means essence), an essential fragrance that will make you think like you cannot do without.
Uberta Zambeletti is the woman that we find behind the concept of Wait and See. She is a multifaceted in life and in work, with her studies abroad and a background in the fashion world as a designer and then interior designer and art director, in 2010 she wanted to create a place that could represent originality and eclecticism. We are in Via Santa Marta, in the heart of the artistic and cultural district known as 5Vie: in a narrow street, ancient and full of history, within what was a convent in the ‘700.
Optimism and a sense of happiness will come over you as soon as you cross the small door, and you will not forget them easily, believe me. You can shop, buying objects or funny bijoux with a few euros, because Uberta is convinced that we can – and must – be able to live the shopping experience without having to spend a fortune. So you will find greeting cards, mugs, bags, bracelets, earrings, glittery socks, at affordable prices.
And then of course the clothes: whether they are vintage or by emerging designers and strictly selected by Uberta in his countless trips to various parts of Europe or the world, you can be sure that from here you will not leave empty handed and above all unhappy! Unique pieces, some made specifically for her, many prints, and a lot of colour are the common denominator of the articles.
#stayBella (#stayPretty) or # lavitaèbella (#lifeisbeautiful) are some of the favourite slogans that are printed anywhere in the store. A hymn to optimism. So, ” Wait come in and see ” becomes my warning for you! Clear your head, put on your best smile and enjoy this small and magical place.
