Milan, Autumn 2019. The perfect happy hour in the Milanese gardens is on its way, straight from the hotel world.

Only a handful of people know that Milan is a very green city, contrary to the popular belief, especially if you see it from above, which originates mainly from the old monastic cloisters, that used to be vegetable gardens, from the clerical and later Napoleonic era.

Admittedly, you should always take a peak inside the gates of some of the streets of the city centre, as well as the areas around the Università Cattolica, the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, or in the Quadrilatero della moda: via Gesù, via Sant’Andrea, via Santo Spirito are rather evocative in that aspect.

And one of the wildest passions of the coolest citizens of Milan is exactly to relax, armed with a Spritz of course, in the beautiful gardens of the best hotels of the city.

Glamorous happy hours are planned for the month of September, enjoying the last summer breeze. Here’s the list of the five most in vogue hotels’ gardens ever!

Hotel Sheraton Diana Majestic

Viale Piave, 42

Sheraton Diana Majestic - Milano

The open air aperitivo is host in the wonderful garden inside the Hotel Sheraton Diana Majestic in viale Piave, always appreciated both for the exceptional catering service and the refined wine cellars and for the quiet location, suitable for work and after work meetings.

Hotel Manin

Via Daniele Manin, 7

Hotel Manin

A welcoming and elegant floral lounge area born on the remains of an old Romanesque cemetery, embellished by an inimitable centuries-old plane tree. It’s often requested for fashion shootings and frequently hosts the presentation of important books (the Manin is known for being the writers’ hotel, it boasts high calibre appearances in its résumé, like Tiziano Terzani, Giorgio Faletti or the more modern Fabio Volo).

Four Seasons Hotel Milan

Via Gesù, 6/8

Hotel Four Season Milano

An evergreen, literally speaking, is the Four Seasons Hotel Milan’s garden (a/n a typical example of those monastic cloisters), classic and modern at the same time, a mixture of styles making it attractive and contemporary, just like the furniture located in the famous hall of the hotel, beloved especially by the foreign guests.

Bulgari Hotel Milano

Via Privata Fratelli Gabba, 7/b

Bulgari Hotel Milano

More heterogeneous, which does not mean less trendy, the Bulgari Hotel Milano’s wide lounge area on the English lawn. This location is a must for the trendy citizen of Milan and often hosts important fashion and design events.

Mandarin Oriental, Milan

Via Andegari, 9

Mandarin Oriental Milano - Bar & Bistrot

Definitely smaller, but as you known great things come in small packages, there is the bucolic cloister of the Mandarin Oriental, Milan. Just a few steps away from the Feltrinelli publishing house, right behind the historic via Manzoni.

These 5 aperitivi of the moment selected for you by Flawless Milano are open to the public, the only thing that’s left is to follow the respective Facebook pages to find out which nights will be the best.
