Beyond Landscape

Landscapes are alive. Landscapes aren't in our heads, they're in our hands and in our eyes.

The Renata Fabbri Gallery is a piece of Berlin in Milan, founded in 2015 with the objective of bringing the wide variety of expression in contemporary art to a public which has an ever-increasing interest. A study in modernity and its absence throughout the works of various generations of artists, all of whom in their own way were trying to understand and explain the complexity of what we could perhaps term ‘beauty’.

The Gallery, which is tiptoeing onto the scene in Milan as a breath of fresh air, is showcasing a national and international collective of artists including Sophie Ko, Petra Lindholm, Laura Pugno, Marco Strappato, Giorgia Severi, Cosimo Veneziano and Adéla Waldhauserovà.

Andrea Lerda’s project Beyond Landscape aims to monitor the study of landscapes. It calls on the artists in an unpressured way to give their ideas on the central theme. So it’s looking at landscapes not just as an artistic classification, but also as a means of analysis among nature, our perception and change. The mediums that have been used? Sculpture, installations, photography, drawing and painting

The aesthetic results are a poetry of faint colours which force the observer to question what’s going on inside themself, and what role they’re playing in it all by their presence.
