Don’t worry, there’s no historical re-enactment here, and we haven’t yet returned to the days of the Crusades.
Legend and history will surround this Milan event bound to make historians and historically curious people happy.
Taking place at Spazio Cobianchi is the exhibition titled ‘Templars: History and Legend of the Knights of the Temple‘ is curated by Cosimo Damiano Fonseca with collaboration from Dr Elena Fontanella, and conceived by the Fondazione DNArt.
One of the most mysterious and fascinating chapters in history is revealed to the public with documents and finds that will make us enter the world of the Knightly Order often discussed and admired in history.
Through unique historical and artistic testimonies such as the Code of the Knights of the Temple guarded at the National Library in Rome, the documents of the Templar Customs kept in the Vatican Secret Archives, the Great Leaf of Saint Nicholas Trani and documents, paintings and sculptures, trace the story and events of this interesting and mysterious order.
The Spazio Cobianchi is located in the Galleria Vittoria Emaneule II and the event is sponsored by Regione Lombardia, Camera di Commercio di Milano, the Ministero per i Bene e le Attività under the supervision of the Gran Priorato di Napoli e Sicilia.
