Hankering for some… Chanel? Red Metro, Cairoli – Castello Stop. Turn onto Foro Buonaparte and let the wide, tree lined road – so much like high-end Paris – lead you to number 74: Madame Pauline Vintage. Its fans know this little gem well.
It’s no other than green – king of vintage colors itself – to rule in all the rooms of this clothing and accessory era-like temple. Considering the quality and care with which these valuables have been preserved, era-like is just a saying. If they were to be put in their respective brand name shops, I can imagine the throngs of flattering women admiring their originality from behind shop windows.
Bygones, it’s true. But nowhere like in fashion, does the cycle of colors, shapes and lengths change and turn decade after decade only to stop again as it pleases. So here we are in grandma’s closet, admiring everything and searching for that dated piece we can pull off as trendy. And guys, what a grandma! If only there were more women like her.
Madame Pauline, like a woman on a walk right out of the ’30s: sophisticated, self-assured and fascinating… capable of that hidden sensuality that our peers often fail to recognize. Hermès scarf, Prada décolleté, Jimmy Choo sandals and Christian Dior necklaces just to name a few… I’ll let you discover the rest on your own!
Don’t think you can lose yourself in 50 sq m? Just come and talk to me again at the checkout… if you’ll be able to choose!
