Crisp winter air blows across the Navigli channel, the first yellow leaves begin to fall, and an atmospheric mist descends over Milan. It’s the perfect time to settle into a warm and cozy bar with a nice strong drink.
Walking into Pinch’s parlour feels like going back in time to the halcyon days of the 1940s. Everything from the vintage furniture, sepia-tone photographs and the eccentric staff uniforms help create the feeling that you’ve traveled not only back in time, but out of Navigli and into Prohibition-era America.
Thankfully though, nothing here is prohibited. Pinch’s head bartender Mattia Lissoni and his staff use any and all ingredients at their disposal – spices, obscure bitters, chocolate, capers and pistachio just to name a few.
We also highly recommend you temper your excitement and line your stomach with something from Pinch’s kitchen which offers classic burgers, vegan and vegetarian dishes, and good old fashioned fish and chips.
