Kilburn is the London district where Ennio, the owner of the eponymous cocktail bar in Porta Venezia, discovered its passion by the world of the mixing and good drinking. Even before going back to Italy, while the project was taking shape into his mind, he decided to tattoo the Kilburn logo, by this time it was still an idea. And then, he made the symbol of good luck for the new adventure, ready to start translating it and bring to Milan a project born during a chat in a living room of London.
So “from London to Milan”, as the local claim says, comes back with a baggage full of the experience made in London and of the authentic British culture. From Kilburn High Road, the main street of the window-filled neighborhood and always in turmoil, it arrives in Milan near to Corso Buenos Aires, an equally crowded and dynamic shopping street.
The result is a cocktail bar that honors to the English capital and recalls the elegant aesthetics, warming and enveloping atmosphere of the old London pubs: warm and suffused lights of candles and chandeliers, dark wood furniture, vintage leather sofas, antique and still tartan cushions, floral tapestries, black and white shots that depict the London district where everything has started and many bottles that, as a matter of fact, also become vases, unusual centerpieces and design objects.
